Haitian relief contributions to be deducted on 2009 returns: On January 21st, the Senate approved HR 4462, which had previously passed the house, and the President is expected to sign it this week.  The net effect is to make properly documented contributions to assist with Haitian earthquake victims an itemized tax deduction. Contact Us for more details. Our 2009 Year End Tax Planning Letter is availible here. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is delaying enforcement of the “Red Flags” Rule until June 1, 2010. As part of the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC's) implementation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act of 2003, most medical providers would have needed to comply with the "Red Flags" rule November 1, 2009. The rule requires "creditors" – which the FTC defines to include most health care providers – to establish a program to prevent identity theft in their practices. Our Dental Practice Critical Coding Update Seminar was held on June 25, 2009. Due to Registration Demand, we moved the venue to the Sheraton Music City . Watch for our next coding event. Our June 11th, 2009 seminar on Premier Practice Manager was well received. This free seminar detailed our Premier Practice Manager approach to Dental Practice Excellence.  This event was worth 2.0 ADA CERP Credits.  Our March 12th, 2009 seminar offered insights into the value of an effective website, presented by FaverWebs.  Attendees received a free web analysis. Also, we previously announced that the seminar would be 2.5 ADA CERP credits, due to the actual length, it will be worth 4.0 ADA CERP Credits. Physicians and Dentists!  We want to hear from you! The July 24th 2008 OSHA Requirements Seminar, with Oliva Wann of Modern Practice Solutions as the speaker,  was held at the Music City Sheraton.
